This is my favorite among all the pictures. The location was inside the Rano Raraku crater, Easter Island.
There stood all these unfinished Moai. The path to get there was a "bit off" the main
tourist path, but it was worthy to get there. ;-) These timeless statues witness almost 2000
years of human history. They stood in the same place with only other statues as their
companions. To them, it really doesn't matter who have won the wars, who have conquered the
stock market... There were a sense of peacefulness and a sense of loneliness when was there
with these Moai. I was glad I was there.
This photo was taken also on the Easter Island. The place where wll these Moai
were located in a place called Rano Raraku Stone Quarry. There were nearly 400 Moai
sitting there.

I don't think this picture needs any introduction. The quality of the picture is
not the best, but it is an orginial picture... by me... ;-) Looking at the Pyrmids,
one cannot help to feel the mystic power of acient Egypt. Even there are many
TV programs, many books, and articles of them. You cannot stop to add a few imaginations
of your own...
The picture below is from La Jolla, San Diego.
